Case Study 1 - Offence: Possession
& distribution of Indecent Images of children

Case Information:

Forensic Mobile Services were contacted by the Senior Investigating Officer to assist in the Forensic examination of two complex mobile telephone devices.
FMS were able to complete a full analysis and data recovery of all relevant data stored within the suspects mobile telephones and associated media. The evidential material was presented in suitable court format.

Outcome of Investigation:

The main suspect has since been convicted. As a result of the data recovered further suspects were identified nationally and are currently being investigated by the relevant law enforcement agencies.

Case Study 2 - Offence: Kidnapping, Threats to kill & GBH

Case Information:

Forensic Mobile Services were contacted by the senior investigating officer to assist in the Forensic examination of a large quantity of complex mobile telephone devices and associated media.

The suspects had been accused of kidnapping, threats to kill and GBH which they all strongly denied. Several of the suspects pleaded guilty to lesser charges after the main suspect was identified. The main suspect pleaded not guilty to all charges and claimed the other suspects were responsible.

FMS were able to complete a full analysis and data recovery of all relevant data stored within the suspects and victims mobile telephones and associated media. It was found from our analysis and interpretation that the main suspect’s description of the events leading up to and after the alleged incident were a not a true and accurate account. Our evidence proved to be crucial.

Outcome of Investigation:

Based upon the evidential material presented by our expert and subsequent expert testimony the suspect was found guilty.
